Knicks absolutely dominate Hawks in historic Game 6 first half

The Knicks made a statement — and then some — in a dominant first half on Thursday night.

And that might be underselling it.

New York led the Hawks 83-36 after two quarters in Game 6 at State Farm Arena, led by 26 points from OG Anunoby.

It is the largest halftime lead in NBA playoff history.

The Knicks came out firing in the first quarter when they established a 40-15 lead.

And they kept their foot on the gas pedal in the second quarter when they outscored the Hawks 43-21.

Anunoby was incredibly efficient by shooting 10-of-12 from the field.

Even a scuffle that led to Knicks big man Mitchell Robinson — and the Hawks’ Dyson Daniels — getting ejected was not enough to change the story.

It puts the Hawks in what feels like an insurmountable hole as they hope to force a Game 7.

But with this first half, that feels incredibly unlikely.
