Anne Hathaway has brought her Devil Wears Prada style off screen with a pair of trainers in this season’s trending zebra print, and they’re still in stock in all sizes
Just in time for The Devil Wears Prada 2 to hit cinemas this weekend, Anne Hathaway has been proving it’s not just her on-screen character that knows how to nail a trend or two. In-between promo appearances for the new film, Anne was spotted wearing the perfect stylish off duty outfit, which included a chocolate brown satin midi dress that she dressed down with a pair of on-trend trainers.
If ever we needed proof that the right pair of trainers can make or break an outfit, it was this one, with Anne opting the adidas Originals Tokyo Trainers in spring’s top-trending print; zebra stripes. The slimline trainers were the perfect way to keep her look more casual, and they’re just enough of a subtle nod to a trend whilst still looking classic and timeless – we reckon even Miranda Priestly would be impressed.

The adidas Originals Tokyo Trainers are currently still in stock in all sizes at ASOS for £90, with sizes three to 12 available including half sizes for the perfect fit. They’re proof that a slimmer-fitting trainer is the perfect way to nail a classic style whilst still being on trend, and the subtle pop of monochrome print can work with any outfit.
You could copy Anne’s outfit formula and pair them with a midi dress for lunch dates or even to wear to the office, or team them with your favourite denim for a super casual look. They’re also sleek enough for elevating a sports luxe-inspired outfit, or pairing with linen shorts on holiday for some comfortable everyday sightseeing shoes.
The adidas Originals Tokyo Trainers are made from 100% leather with a hair-on finish which means they’re durable and long-lasting, and should get increasingly comfortable with every wear. They feature the signature adidas three stripes in a charcoal metallic leather finish.
Zebra print is taking over fashion at the moment, and adidas isn’t the only one that’s brought out a pair of trainers in the print. Puma has also launched its Speedcat Sneakers in zebra print, and they’re currently on sale for just £58 down from £115, and they’re still in stock in sizes three to six despite the massive discount.
If you prefer a more casual look, Converse’s Zebra Print High Tops are perfect for a bit of retro style that still look great with jeans and midi dresses. Now £47 down from £85 at END, they’re still stocked in most sizes so you can snap them up.
However Anne’s adidas Originals Tokyo Trainers have been highly praised from ASOS shoppers for their comfort. One said: “For a shoe with such a flat sole they are so comfortable. Love the look.”
Another wrote: “Have purchased more than one as the size came up small so had to jump up a whole size would recommend them as the most comfortable shoes.”
One did warn: “Great shoe but be warned, not for those of us with wide feet!. They are slim, really slim. I had to return them because of this but still, a great shoe, well made and stylish.”
And another said: “Loved the trainer style and colour however sizing to small.”
But others couldn’t stop praising how comfy they are, with another person writing: “love the comfort of them on my feet can walk all day in them look cool. Just perfect trainers couldn’t ask for more definitely getting a couple of more different colours.”
