Aashiqui Fame, Rahul Roy Hits Back At Trolls For Sharing Fake Clips, ‘I’m Not An Abandoned Person..’

Bollywood actor, Rahul Roy received nationwide fame for his performance in the film, Aashiqui. After the grand success of the film, Aashiqui, Rahul signed 47 films in 11 days. However, none of the films that he signed at that time did well at the box office. He received renewed fame by winning the show, BB Season 1. A few days ago, Rahul opened up about financial struggles and made a request to find him some genuine work. A while back, the Aashiqui actor hit back at trolls for spreading fake videos.

Rahul Roy slams fake videos claiming that he had been abandoned

On May 3, 2026, Rahul Roy took to his Instagram handle and shared a carousel featuring him, his sister, Hari Maa Priyanka and his brother-in-law, Romeer Sen. Along with the wholesome snaps, the Aashiqui fame penned a lengthy, heartfelt note. Rahul slammed fake videos claiming that he had been abandoned. He mentioned that he has all the essential things, including clothes, shoes, food, a car and a lovely home in Madh. Rahul stated that he lives in his sister’s house. He clarified that his family, including his sister and brother-in-law, has provided him with everything. He wrote:

“I have clothes, I have shoes, I have food, I have car, I’m not an abandoned person on road , the way fake videos are coming out is not true, my sister Hari maa and my brother in law Romeer Sen have provided me with every thing please do not disturb their sanity, they are the only thing that is left to me.”

Rahul Roy reveals that travelling in autos and not taking bodyguards is his ‘personal choice’

In his note, Rahul highlighted that he likes to stay simple. He mentioned that wearing simple and easy things is completely his personal choice. He stated that not taking bodyguards and travelling in an auto is also his personal choice. He clarified that the Reels that went viral on social media were made with simplicity, and there were no clever intentions behind. An excerpt of his note can be read as:

“I like to stay, wear simple and easy things, which is my personal choice, I don’t take a bodyguard, that’s my personal choice, if I sometimes travel by auto it’s easy and quick, it’s my personal choice. I did those reels with simplicity, not with clever thoughts.”

Rahul Roy opens up about not getting good work for a long time now

In the same note, Rahul mentioned that he has always treated every work with utmost importance. In fact, he has also waited for good work for a long time now. However, quality work didn’t knock on his door, and thus, he cannot sit and waste time. Thus, he is trying his best to survive by making Reels and many more. Rahul highlighted that he has to look after his personal court cases also. He wrote:

“I always think work is work, that’s my personal choice, my decisions are my choice, and I waited for good work enough for long, but it doesn’t come, I cannot sit and waste myself, and of course I have to look after my personal court cases too.”

Rahul Roy gets candid about facing financial struggles to fight legal cases

On April 30, 2026, Rahul shared a long note on his Instagram. The Aashiqui actor mentioned that he has always worked with honesty and modesty. Rahul stated that he has to pay for some legal cases that have been going on before he suffered a brain stroke. For the uninitiated, Rahul suffered from a heart attack and a brain stroke in 2020. To pay for those legal matters, he requests people to find him genuine and good work.
