The Beckham family feud could be about to get awkward as brothers Romeo and Brooklyn could be set for a reunion at this year’s Met Gala in New York
The Beckham family feud continues as Brooklyn once again snubbed a special occasion for dad David. As the rest of the clan marked the patriarch’s birthday with gushing messages, his eldest son again stayed silent.
But while Brooklyn. 27, continues to live his own life stateside, he could be set for an awkward reunion with brother Romeo. The duo could be both heading to Monday’s Met Gala, which is one of Brooklyn’s favourite events of the year.
To date, he has attended the showbiz bash three times alongside his wife Nicola Peltz. He has also headed to the iconic event solo on one occasion.

But it’s thought his 23-year-old brother will be in attendance for the first time, which could potentially lead to an awkward interaction between the warring brothers.
Romeo was spotted at a star-studded pre-Met Gala celebration on Saturday night. He donned a black leather jacket and baggy jeans for the party. It remains to be seen whether either of the brothers will head to the main even at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
If they do, it’ll be the first time they’ve been in the same venue since the dramatic family fallout was made public. In January, Brooklyn released a scathing statement revealing he wanted nothing to do with his family anymore.
Instead, he is fully focused on his life stateside with Nicola. He called out his parents’ behaviour in his savage Instagram statement, notably his mum Victoria’s actions.
Brooklyn blamed the former Spice Girl for making his wife cry on their wedding day and claimed she tried to upstage the bride on the day. And ever since, despite sending gushing messages to Nicola’s family, Brooklyn has stayed silent when it comes to celebrating his own family.
And that trait continued on Saturday when he shunned dad David’s 51st birthday. There was no public message to wish him a happy birthday, while the rest of his siblings shared the love.
Despite Brooklyn ignoring the occasion, David still shared his gratitude of his kids. Taking to Instagram, he shared a snap of himself blowing out his candles, alongside a similar upload from childhood.
He also thanked his “beautiful family” for spoiling him. He wrote: “I feel very lucky & blessed to have had a very special day today being spoilt by my wife, kids, family and friends from the moment I opened my eyes till now and I just want to say thank you and I love you all so much. @victoriabeckham & my beautiful family thank you.”
As he poured pints from his very own pump, the dad-of-four revealed that his family had also gifted him six new members of the family: “I got six new chickens.”
