Alejandra Onieva Molas was born on June 1, 1992, in Madrid, Spain. She has an older brother named Inigo and a younger brother named Jamie. Her parents divorced when they were young, and later her father, who is also named Inigo, tied the knot again. She has a stepsibling named Guille from his father’s second marriage. Growing up, Onieva studied in the schools of interpretation, Interactive Study and Fourth Wall. 

Alejandra Onieva later enrolled in advertising, public relations and fashion. However, shortly thereafter, she left her university because she had been selected to play a leading role in the series, El secreto de Puente Viejo. Her brother, Inigo, is married to Tamara Falco, who is the 6th Marchioness of Grinon. For the unversed, it is a title in the Peerage of Spain.

After making her debut with El secreto de Puente Viejo, she joined the cast of the planned Antena 3 series, La sonrisa de las mariposas, in 2015. In 2019, she marked her first big project with the Spanish Netflix original series, Alta Mar (High Seas).
