Seven-storey building on fire in Brisbane’s inner-west

A seven-storey building in Milton caught fire shortly before 2pm on Wednesday, with 12 fire crews at the scene and additional first responders en route.

Emergency services were called to Little Cribb Street, across the road from Suncorp Stadium, about 1.50pm after reports of smoke coming from the building’s roof.

Firefighters were yet to determine whether the building – measuring about 40 metres by 40 metres – was commercial or residential, and said the fire was on the building’s top floor.

Paramedics arrived on the scene about 2.05pm, and were yet to find anyone needing medical attention.
