The highly publicised legal battle involving former JPMorgan Chase employee Chirayu Rana and executive Lorna Hajdini has taken yet another dramatic turn. After Rana’s new filing, submitted to the Washington Court after some “corrections” to the initial filing, Hajdini has publicly responded to the allegations of sex slavery, coercion, drugging Rana, and even initiating threesomes, among other claims.

What Chirayu Rana said in the new court filing

In new documents submitted on May 3, 2026, the plaintiff, who initially filed as John Doe, publicly identified as Chirayu Rana, 35, a former JPM banker currently working at Bregal Sagemount, a private equity firm. In the updated complaint, Rana alleges that Hajdini subjected him to repeated harassment, coercion, and intimidation after joining the team in 2024. The filing alleges that Hajdini coerced him into a controlling sexual dynamic, subjected him to explicit remarks and unwanted sexual advances, sometimes in his own apartment, and threatened his career if he refused to comply.

The plaintiff also alleges he was drugged on multiple occasions and later blackmailed. Rana has requested anonymity in the court proceedings, claiming that the alleged incidents involving Hajdini had left him suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The submitted exhibits include psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert’s PTSD diagnosis earlier this year. It also includes some anonymised witness accounts from Rana’s alleged close friends who had seen Hajdini publicly kissing Rana and even got invited into a threesome involving her and Rana.

Lorna Hajdini reiterates Chirayu Rana’s new allegations as ‘fabricated’ lies

Responding to the amended filing, Lorna Hajdini’s attorneys released a statement on her behalf. Speaking to PEOPLE on Tuesday, May 4, 2026, the JPMC executive’s lawyers dismissed the allegations as fabricated, affirming that Hajdini had never sexually engaged with Rana, nor gave him drugs on any occasion. Hajdini’s attorney said:

“Lorna continues to categorically deny the allegations. She never dated this individual, never had a sexual or romantic encounter with him of any kind and never gave him any drugs. She maintains that his false claims are entirely fabricated and tarnishing her reputation.”

Earlier, Hajdini’s legal team had also denied ever being at the location where the alleged assault supposedly occurred. Her lawyers completely denied the claims of their alleged intimate encounters, arguing that Hajdini has never even been to the location. The lawyers stated:

JPMorgan says internal probe found ‘no merit’ in Chirayu Rana’s claims

Several industry insiders and experts have spoken up about the explosive lawsuit, including JPMC itself, which has dismissed the claims as having “no merit.” Instead, the bank exposed Rana’s alleged lies, citing some of his questionable conduct while employed there. Lorna Hajdini’s employer has described her as a crucial asset with no record of misconduct or misbehavior with any colleague. Unlike Rana, she has been collaborative in the investigation. A JPM spokesperson said in a statement:

“JPM conducted a full internal investigation… She cooperated. He didn’t… JPM LevFin employees are calling her kind and professional, and even prudish (i.e. the opposite of deviant). Conversely, they are calling this John Doe coward, a creep, and a loser.”

The bank has alleged that Rana falsely claimed his father had died to secure paid bereavement leave during the period when he was reportedly preparing the lawsuit against Hajdini. According to reports, the company even allowed him to work remotely instead of coming into the office, while he took multiple leaves between March and May 2025, the same time when he allegedly shared a draft complaint with the bank’s legal team. The insider said:

“In or around November 2024, the plaintiff’s father passed away, and he went to his parents’ home in Virginia.”

Both Rana and Hajdini have since deactivated their social media accounts and are standing by their individual arguments.
