Nalgonda: The officials of Anti-Corruption Burea u(ACB) on Thursday caught red-handed Forest Development Officer S Sujatha of Kothagudem and in-charge Cherla Deputy Range Officer Krishnaiah while accepting bribe of Rs 3.5 lakh from a complainant.
The ACB DSP Y Ramesh informed that the accused forest officers demanded for Rs 10 lakh for not filing a case against a road contractor for accidentally fell down of the trees while laying the road at Cherla.
Following the complaint from the complainant, ACB officials laid a trap and caught the two officials while accepting bribe. The hands of the Deputy Range Officer turned positive in the chemical test.
