Police investigate suspicious balcony death in Sydney’s northwest

A man died in the garden of a Sydney apartment building overnight after shouting was earlier heard on a balcony.

Police are treating the death as suspicious.

About 2.40am, emergency services responded to reports that a man was heard shouting from the balcony of a unit complex on Crane Road in Castle Hill.

NSW Ambulance paramedics found 44-year-old man suffering serious injuries in a garden outside the building.

They treated him, but he died at the scene and a crime scene was established.

Detectives from the Hills Police Area Command and the North West Metropolitan Region began an investigation.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
