Hyderabad: The Ibrahimpatnam police arrested a B.Tech student for raping his classmate in his house in a drunken condition.
The student hailing from Choutuppal in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district was pursuing B.tech third year from a college in Rangareddy district. He along with his classmate came to Dilsukhnagar to drink tea on May 14.
While returning, he purchased liquor and consumed it at a secluded place on BDL Road. He also forced his classmate to consume liquor. As the girl was in an intoxicated condition, the student took her to his room in Ibrahimpatnam and violated her.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, the police booked a case under relevant provisions of BNS and arrested the accused on Monday.
