Adilabad:Adivasi beneficiaries of Indiramma Houses at Kothguda village in Kolam Kotari gram panchayat of Kerameri mandal are preparing to accord a traditional welcome to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during his visit to Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on June 1.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate 28 completed Indiramma houses in the village and later address a public meeting at Kagaznagar X Road.
Officials said 115 Indiramma houses were sanctioned for the Kolam Kotari gram panchayat, with construction of several houses already completed.
The programme was rescheduled to June 1 from June 2 as the Chief Minister is expected to attend Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Hyderabad on June 2.
Sources said Revanth Reddy will first visit Kolam Kotari village before proceeding to the public meeting venue at Kagaznagar X Road. Arrangements are being made along the 28-km route for the visit.
He is also expected to halt briefly at a viewpoint near the Komaram Bheem project site en route to the meeting venue.
Kolam Kotari sarpanch Madavi Shanthabai said villagers were eagerly awaiting the Chief Minister’s visit and added that district officials had taken up development works in the gram panchayat ahead of the programme.
She said the works included CC roads, drinking water supply facilities and installation of electric poles. She also noted that a large number of Indiramma houses had been sanctioned for the village for the first time.
Shanthabai said villagers were preparing to welcome the Chief Minister with traditional drum beats during his visit.
