Food Safety Raid Uncovers Violations at Nagole Namkeen Unit

Hyderabad: A flying squad of Telangana Food Safety wing inspected Balaji pheni and namkeen unit in Nagole and detected several deviations.

The squad seized 150 kg of cooking oil, 720 kg of sev, and 120 kg of potato chips. Notices are being issued and adjudication proceedings will be initiated under the Food Safety and Standards Act, officials said.

In an advisory, the officials asked the public to purchase snacks, namkeen, and other food products only from licensed establishments and check the quality, packaging, and expiry details before consumption.
