Haas team-mates Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman recently took on the Hot Ones Versus challenge. In an entertaining appearance on the popular YouTube series, the Formula 1 duo had to answer difficult questions to avoid eating a fiery hot wing.

The questions included ranking current and former team-mates, choosing who on the current grid is most likely to retire at the end of the season and having Ocon state to the camera that “NASCAR is better than F1”.

The two drivers also took on a friendship test, raced on a Scalextric track and identified F1 track layouts by touch while blindfolded.

Fans were quick to react to the video on social media. “That was great. The current crop of young drivers is great. Tons of talent and great personality,” one wrote on Reddit, while another added on YouTube: “First Valtteri and Checo, now Ollie and Estie Bestie? I hope this is a running theme and we get all 11 teams!”

“Haas team is so unproblematic, people have to make up drama. These two get along so well,” someone else posted, and another commented: “Ocon saying Alpine is the worst and Ollie almost choking is the best part of this video.”

Other reactions included: “Esteban almost getting knocked out on the first wing is the most Esteban thing ever”, “I swear these two are doing all the side quests there are. I love it!” and “Didn’t know I needed F1 on Hot Ones until now hahahaha, love it!”

Bearman has had a strong start to the 2026 season. He currently sits ninth in the drivers’ standings with 18 points, while Ocon is 16th with only one point. As a result, Haas is seventh in the constructors’ championship, just two points behind Racing Bulls in sixth and 12 points ahead of Williams in eighth.
