Paris St-Germain manager Luis Enrique said he was not interested in being called a legend after winning his third Champions League title against Arsenal.
Enrique saw his side win on penalties in Budapest to make it back-to-back wins for PSG and add to the trophy he won at Barcelona in 2015.
Only Carlo Ancelotti has won more – with five for AC Milan and Real Madrid – with Enrique moving level with greats Zinedine Zidane, Bob Paisley and a certain Pep Guardiola.
“Legend? I’m not interested in that,” the 56-year-old said.
“I’m mixed. Excitement, fatigue. Everything but this is the best moment of the season. We are still champions, two in a row, it’s amazing.
“We deserved that. Our supporters, during the whole season. We deserve to be in the final.
“It was very tough and difficult. Congratulations to Arsenal, it was very tough.
“They played great. It’s normal. They try to take the match into phases they are strong. We tried to control the ball and press. We have won the title.
“It’s stronger than last year because we knew before the match just how difficult it would be to play against Arsenal.
“As a club and a city, it’s incredible to win, and I think we deserved it over the course of the season. The final was a real battle.”
PSG trailed for an hour after Kai Havertz’s early strike and Enrique saw his side dominate but fail to break down the Gunners until Khvicha Kvaratskhelia won a penalty which Ousmane Dembele finished.
The match then went to penalties and while Nuno Mendes had his effort saved, Gabriel and Ebe Eze missed the target for Arsenal to ensure a famous night in Paris.
Dembele added: “It’s been a big night. We’ve worked hard all season to win back-to-back titles.
“It’s brilliant: we’re going to savour this. It’s been tough – the whole season has been tough – and we’ve had to deal with a lot.
“But in the end, we’ve won the Champions League again and we’re all delighted.”
