Millie Mackintosh has revealed to her Instagram followers that she is to move out of the marital home she once shared with her husband Hugo Taylor, whom she met on Made In Chelsea
Millie Mackintosh is set to move out of the marital home she once shared with Hugo Taylor, after confirming their split.
The reality stars first struck up a relationship when they were teenagers, and shot to fame together when they signed up to appear on the hit E4 series Made In Chelsea in 2011, eventually tying the knot in 2018.
But the pair, who have Sienna, six, as well as four-year-old Aurelia together, called it quits in February and the TV star, 36, has taken to social media to update her fans on the latest in the situation.
Revealing her new home in an Instagram post, she said: “Next chapter incoming… excited to make a new place my home,”
In another snap, she discussed how workouts help her “feel strong physically and mentally” Millie made the post on Sunday, just hours before her husband hit his milestone 40th birthday.
The revelation came as part of a post that was centred on “half term realities,” in which the reality star opened up about managing life as a parent when the little ones are out of school. In one slide, she said: “Feeling guilty when I’m not working, and having to remind myself how short their childhood is.”
She also spoke of the importance of looking after oneself despite everything else that may be going on, penning: “Self care and some pug cuddles are always the best. Luna decided red light therapy was for her actually.”
It comes just days after Millie opened up more about her split, having previously held back from speaking publicly about the ordeal until she was through the worst of it
She said: “I didn’t want to share about this until I was on the other side. But recently I had to deal with Aurelia having some really challenging separation anxiety. It was really, really hard.
The trouble began after Aurelia’s nursery closed down last Christmas, leaving her with half a term at home with no childcare. When Millie eventually found a new nursery, Aurelia – who is due to start school in September – simply refused to go.
Millie explained: “There were a lot of tantrums, crying, kicking, screaming and just refusing to go to nursery. Once she was there, she was actually fine. She would have a good time. She was happy within a few minutes after we dropped her.
“[But] it was the whole morning from when she woke up, trying to get her dressed, trying to get her to leave the house, and trying to physically get her to nursery was really challenging. She’d be crying, I’d be crying. She would just literally unstrap herself from the buggy and run down the road. It was really scary.
“I was advised to get her back to nursery, so I was told only a couple of phrases to say to her so when she was getting upset, I would say, ‘You’re safe. I love you. You’re going to nursery, and you can do this.’ I would just repeat those phrases, but I wouldn’t say anything else. I wouldn’t try to bribe her. I just stuck to those phrases, and tried to stay really calm myself.
“It took about four days of taking her to nursery. I had to carry her to the nursery, kicking and screaming, which felt horrible, and I felt awful while I was doing [it].
“But after four days, she was totally fine again. She just, on the fifth day, woke up that morning, and she was like, ‘Mummy, I want to go to nursery today’. And it was the biggest relief!”
