Kelsey Parker has shared a huge thank you to her fans for ‘cheering her on when she couldn’t’ and encouraged them to ‘stop waiting and start living’ as she announces pregnancy
Kelsey Parker has sent a huge thank you to the fans who were “cheering her on” in her dark times as she prepares to welcome a baby a year after tragically having a stillborn child. She hopped on Instagram to share how grateful she was to get through the tough times and encouraged her fans to “stop waiting and start living”.
Kelsey is set to welcome a baby with her boyfriend Will Lindsay. The pair were due to have their first child together last year, a baby boy named Phoenix, last summer but he was tragically “born sleeping” at 39 weeks.
This was the second heartbreaking loss to befall Kelsey as she is also the widow of The Wanted star Tom Parker, who died of a brain tumour. Now, Kelsey has been able to share the happy news that she is expecting again.
On Instagram, she posted a video, where she said: “I wanted to come on here to say thank you. The amount of love, support, messages, kindness I’ve received this weekend has literally been so overwhelming and it’s overwhelmed me in the best way possible. And I want you to know that I see your messages, I read your stories and I feel so grateful for this community that we’ve built.
“As so many of you know, life hasn’t always been easy and there has been moments where I’ve wondered how I was gonna keep moving forward. I’ve experienced loss, I’ve experienced heartbreak and some of the hardest days imaginable but one thing I’ve learned is that life doesn’t stop and neither do we. That doesn’t mean we forget the people we love or the experiences that have shaped us. It means that we carry them with us as we keep taking one step forward one step at a tome.”
She added that this was the core of her ‘Stop Waiting’ message. “That’s really what Stop Waiting is all about, it’s not about bringing positive energy every day. It’s about choosing to live anyway,” she said.
“It’s about choosing joy when you can’t find it. Choosing hope when things feel uncertain. It’s about choosing to keep going even when it’s hard and right now, I’m feeling so incredibly grateful and I’m so excited to be welcoming our little baby later this year after everything we’ve been through. This baby already feels like such a gift and I can’t wait to share the next chapter with you.
“So I just wanted to say thank you for cheering me on when I couldn’t cheer myself on. If there’s one thing I want to take away from today, it’s that life doesn’t have to be perfect. Live your life, make the call, book the trip, chase the dreams, tell people that you love them and create the memories because life is happening right now. No matter what you’ve been through, there is still so much life left to live. So stop waiting and start living.”
In the caption, she added: “The love you’ve all shown me lately has meant more than you’ll ever know. Life can be beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. I’ve learnt that healing isn’t about moving on it’s about moving forward while carrying the people and memories we love with us. Thank you for supporting me through every chapter. I’m so excited for the next one. Baby, we can’t wait to meet you.”
Kelsey announced her pregnancy via Instagram as well, where she shared a glimpse of her sonogram. In the clip, Will and her children, Bodhi and Aurelia – who she shares with Tom – could be seen unveiling their first look at the newest member of the family.
Alongside the post, she wrote: “A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix. And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven our little rainbow baby.”
