The final trailer for Supergirl has officially been released, offering fans an action-packed look at the upcoming superhero film. Starring House of the Dragon breakout star Milly Alcock in the title role of Kara Zor-El, the film draws inspiration from the beloved comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
In this latest glimpse, audiences see a more reluctant side to the lead character. The trailer highlights the differing perspectives between Kara and her famous cousin, Superman, played by David Corenswet. Highlighting their contrasting philosophies, Kara says, “He sees the good in everyone while I see the truth.” The footage also reveals that Superman eventually steps in to support his cousin, gifting her a new super suit to assist her on her journey.
The film follows Kara’s mission to protect a young woman named Ruthye Marye Knoll (played by Eve Ridley), who is seeking revenge for her father’s death. Their quest to stop the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts) brings them into contact with the formidable Lobo, played by Jason Momoa. A central emotional drive for the story is Kara’s bond with her best friend and family, the super-dog Krypto, who she is fiercely determined to protect after he is hurt by Krem.

Supergirl, directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, will release in theatres, including IMAX, on June 26.
