NALGONDA: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Sunday said the Young India Integrated Schools initiative of the state government was aimed at creating a strong educational environment for poor students.
Inspecting construction works at Laxmipuram in Khammam district, he said expenditure on education was an investment in future generations. He reiterated that the Congress government had accorded priority to education and welfare, and cited measures such as strengthening government schools and increasing mess and cosmetic charges, which he said were not revised during the previous BRS government’s nine-year tenure.
