To Scooter Braun, the Knicks’ unofficial good luck charm doesn’t come down to Jordyn Woods’ undefeated bag.
It’s Sydney Sweeney.
While aboard a private jet from San Antonio after watching the Knicks claim their first NBA title in 53 years on Saturday night, Braun made a public toast where he made the declaration about his girlfriend.
“Syd, I love you and your family so much. You’re the greatest good luck charm for a New York Knicks and Jets fan in history,” he said as seen in an Instagram video shared by music industry entrepreneur Steve Rifkind in the early hours of Sunday morning.
“The Jets could win the Super Bowl, I don’t know. It could get crazy,” he added.
Sweeney’s powers would truly be unmatched if the Jets, who have not made the playoffs since 2010, were to follow with a championship.
Braun and Sweeney were quickly spotted among many other celebrity Knicks loyals in the early moments ahead of the title-winning Game 5 in Texas where the Knicks went on to beat the Spurs 94-90 to take the Finals series 4-1.
The “Euphoria” actress, who is from Spokane, Washington, was questioned for her Knicks fandom by Charles Barkely ahead of the game as the ESPN broadcast showed the famous faces in Frost Bank Center.
“Sydney Sweeney is here? Everybody is a New York Knicks fan now,” he said.
Her connection to Braun is the answer.
The music manager and actress were first linked in June 2025 when they were seen together in Italy ahead of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding.
The two were then reported to be “casually dating” in the fall of that year.
As of May this year, Sweeney went Instagram official with the relationship, sharing photos and videos of her and Braun at the Stagecoach music festival.
The two were also spotted at Madison Square Garden for what was a franchise-defining Game 4, sitting a couple rows up from celebrity row.
