Visakhapatnam: A 36-year-old woman, the wife of a naval officer, reportedly died by suicide at her residence in Naval Park under the Malkapuram police station limits on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Dharti Dabhi, wife of Commander Vishal Dabhi. The couple has an eight-year-old daughter.
According to police, family members found her unresponsive inside a room at their residence and shifted her to Naval Hospital INHS Kalyani, where she was declared brought dead.
Police visited the hospital and examined the body. Officials said no suspicious injury marks were found during the preliminary examination.
Investigators later inspected the residence and seized two mobile phones and other material for further inquiry.
Malkapuram inspector Appa Rao said a case would be registered after receiving a complaint from the deceased’s parents, who were travelling to Visakhapatnam.
Further investigation is under way.
