Famous influencer, Emilie Kiser’s entire life changed after her three-year-old son drowned while he was in the care of her husband, Brady. It was the end of her world as she had stepped out for dinner while she was five weeks postpartum. However, what followed was months of struggle to get out of it. After almost a year, Emilie bared her heart out, whether she forgave her husband or not.
Emilie Kiser recalled the horrific phone call
Emilie Kiser welcomed her son Teddy in 2025. In May 2025, Emilie lost her first child as she was out for dinner and her son was taking care of the kids. While he was taking care of the newborn baby, their three-year-old son, Trigg, fell into their swimming pool in their home. In a recent interaction, Emilie recalled the fateful night when she received the phone call from her scared husband, Brady, who wasn’t able to explain what had happened.
The CCTV footage showed that he was unsupervised for just nine minutes, and he was in the water for those seven minutes, which took his life. Emilie revealed that it was just ten minutes after she arrived when she got a call from her husband, who sounded terrified as he said that their son had fallen in the pool and that he wasn’t breathing. Emilie stated that she could hear the pain and confusion. So, she rushed to the hospital to be with him, but a week later, her whole world fell apart. She said:
“I could hear the pain and just confusion in his voice. I knew immediately, before he even said anything, that something was wrong. So I rushed to the hospital to be by my son’s side, and our life just completely changed that day. And he passed away about a week later. Our whole world fell apart.”
Emilie revealed that she just wanted her son to be okay and wanted her old life back, and him to have his life, as he didn’t deserve it. She shared that the feeling of losing a child from a preventable accident is unexplainable. She kept wondering what she did wrong. She said:
“The only thing that was going through my mind was just that I wanted [Trigg] to be okay, that I wanted my old life back, that I wanted him to have his life back. I mean, it’s what he deserves. You can’t even describe that feeling of when your child passes away from a preventable accident, a preventable tragedy. All that’s going through your mind is, ‘Where did I go wrong? Where did we go wrong? How did this happen? Why did this happen? Heinsight is playing in your head 24/7, and it’s terrible.”

Emilie revealed whether she was able to forgive her husband for the death of her eldest son. She stated that they have taken couples therapy and have done their best to grieve and process the loss. She has a lot of empathy and respect. She stated that he has really allowed her to feel all her emotions and go out.

Emilie stated that a lot of people would say they cannot forgive their husband, or cannot stay married, but Brady stood with her and let her feel those emotions. She added that there was a time when she felt so angry and didn’t know if she could forgive him. She stated that her husband was taking care of their five-week-old son when the accident happened.
