Alan Jackson Cheated On His Wife Denise After Daughter’s Birth, She Forgave Him, ‘Had No Choice’

Country icon Alan Jackson performed his final concert, titled Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, on June 27, 2026. The show held at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, was sold out and was attended by several Hollywood stars. The 67-year-old singer received a star-studded sendoff as he wrapped up his last concert tour. Despite initial delays due to a heavy downpour, the audience patiently waited for Alan’s final act. He was also joined on stage by country music stars like George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Luke Bryan, and Lainey Wilson.

Regarding Alan Jackson’s decision to retire, it was based on his gruelling, 15-year battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease, a genetic, degenerative nerve condition. The disease made him stumble on stage and occasionally get disoriented. The singer’s ailment and last show made fans revisit his past cheating scandal.

Alan Jackson resorted to infidelity and later regretted his act

Alan Jackson‘s marriage to Denise Jackson was marked by infidelity, separation and eventual reconciliation. The couple once separated when they realised they were headed in different directions. They came to that position in their relationship following his sudden rise to country music fame, constant touring, and what they described as a codependent dynamic. During their time apart, Denise learned that Alan had been unfaithful during their marriage. He later even admitted that he made “bad choices” while feeling lonely and vulnerable while on the road for his concerts.

During an interview on CBS’s Sunday Morning, Alan admitted that his mistake nearly caused his marriage to fall apart for good. He regretted his actions and said that he is human and has flaws like anyone else. Alan Jackson further shared that he didn’t want his infidelity to get publicised; however, once it did, he admitted his fault. The singer was grateful that he and his wife, Denise went past the difficult time and reconciled after four months of separation. His exact words were:

“I was gone a lot, and you know, vulnerable, and just made some bad choices. And I think it was…I was worried about people knowing about that. But then again, it was, you know, I’m a person. Just real. I’m a human being just like anybody and make mistakes, and I think it was even better to see that we survived that and have turned it around.”

After Alan Jackson and Denise Jackson’s marriage hit a roadblock due to his infidelity, she took some time to deal with the situation. However, aftee after a while she went past the grief and reconciled with her then-estranged husband, Alan. She even mentioned it in her book, It’s All About Him: Finding the Love of My Life, which she co-authored with Ellen Vaughn. While discussing the book in an interview with PEOPLE, the interviewer asked her how she brought herself to forgive Alan for cheating on her. Denise said that she wanted her marriage to work, and forgiving him was the only way that could be possible. She stated:

“I really had no choice. If I wanted to have my marriage to be restored, I had to forgive. I had to draw my strength from God.”
