Kurnool: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep grief over the death of two oxen in the Tungabhadra River.

Taking to X, Naidu wrote, “We consider cattle a symbol of wealth, and for a farmer, oxen are the backbone of his livelihood. The accidental death of two oxen, treated as family members, in the Tungabhadra River deeply saddened me.”

He added, “The death of the two oxen on Eruvaka Pournami, a sacred day for farmers, and the sight of the owner’s family mourning their loss have deeply moved me. Although the loss of the oxen can’t be compensated. I have already instructed the District Collector to take the necessary steps to ensure that government relief is provided to the family of Kurava Suresh, a resident of Manchal in Kurnool district, who owned the oxen.”
