Vijayawada:A woman, Chagarla Gayatri, on Friday alleged that she was forced to repay Rs 21 crore against a loan of Rs 5 crore and accused private financiers of illegally taking over her 11-acre agricultural land in Bapulapadu mandal.
Addressing the media in Vijayawada, Gayatri alleged that she had become a victim of a call money racket involving financiers Venigalla Harshavardhan and Harinath of RTC Colony. She claimed they were attempting to occupy her property after she had pledged the land as security for the loan.
She further alleged that the sale deed relating to the land had been mutated and the property transferred in the name of another individual without her consent.
Gayatri also alleged the involvement of Sunkara Durga Prasad and Jasti Venkateswara Rao, claiming they were supporting those involved in the alleged land settlement.
She appealed to the state government to intervene, cancel the alleged illegal mutation of the land records and ensure protection for her family.
