Recently, Josh Duhamel revealed that the age gap with his wife Audra Mari left him stunned. He revealed that earlier he never worried about the 21-year age gap with his wife, who was a former Miss World America, until he saw a picture of his mother pregnant with his younger sister, Kassidy Kemper, who is 21 years younger than him.
Josh revealed that there is a picture of him holding his sister as a 21 year old young man. The 53-year-old talked about it during an interview with Ryan Sickler on the HoneyDew podcast. He stated that he looked at the photo with his sister and then to his wife, and realised how they are just the same age. He said:
“There’s a picture of me holding Kassidy as a 21-year-old young man with this little bitty infant. I looked at the photo, and I looked at my wife, and I said, ‘You and Kassidy are exactly the same age.'”
Josh further revealed that his step-sister from his mother’s second marriage was born when he was playing in college. He remembered seeing his mother with a baby bump, standing in the stands, and he felt weird that she was having another baby. Josh further recalled how he told his wife that he was too old for her. He revealed that he realised how his sister and wife are just months apart in age. He said:
“They’re literally months apart in age. I never looked at it like that until I saw that photo. I was like, ‘Wait a second.'”
However, the age is just a number in their relationship, as they understand each other on a deeper level and have been friends for years before they started dating. And initially, he really thought that Mari was too young for him to fall in love, but he realised that she was more mature than him and that’s how their relationship blossomed.

One user on Reddit penned, “I’m okay with age gaps and I’d be open to dating someone with a 10 to 20 year age difference, but saying your early 20s partner is “more mature” than you, at 45 years old, is so embarrassing lol. Stop trying to justify it — just tell people to mind their own business.”
Another penned, “I had to double-check her age. So she was 24-25 when they started dating? There is no way in hell I would date someone that young, but 24-25 is old enough to make an informed decision about who she wants to date.”
