Olivia Attwood is proving to be nothing short of a powerhouse this summer, with her third River Island collection being yet another achievement to add to her ever-growing empire. The edit launched online this morning, and fashion fans are going to be drooling over it.
Between filming the latest series of Bad Boyfriends, launching her cocktail brand Savano, collaborating with Tatti Lashes and Abbott Lyon, and hard-launching her relationship with Pete Wicks, I really don’t know how she does it – but I sure am glad she does, because this edit? It’s sensational.

The double-layered design and practical zip-and-popper fastening make it ideal for unpredictable weather, perfect for anyone heading to the UK coast for a little break.
The oversized silhouette feels effortlessly cool and works just as well with athleisure as it does tailored trousers for the ultimate cool girl uniform. That said, bubble hems can be quite voluminous at the hips, so for those looking to avoid adding bulk to that area, they may prefer something like this Checked Funnel Neck Barn Jacket from Marks and Spencer. It’s slightly cheaper at £60, and has a warming funnel neck and a popper-and-zip fastening for added protection from the elements.
Brown Hammered Faux Leather Ruched Detail Top – £34
Chocolate brown continues to dominate as a warmer, cosier alternative to black, and this hammered faux leather top is a seriously sophisticated way to wear the trend. The draped cowl neckline and faux leather finish look incredibly premium – I couldn’t believe it was £34.
I envisage pairing this with a pair of blue slim jeans and kitten heels for drinks with the girls. But for those looking for something even dressier, there’s a matching mini skirt (£34) which gives the illusion of a mini dress.

Speaking of jeans, I didn’t think I’d ever entertain a pair of skinny jeans again after being devoted to wide-leg styles for the last five years. But Olivia Attwood might have convinced me with these blue cigarette skinny jeans.
These washed blue cigarette jeans feel like a more modern take on the classic millennial skinny, and are the ideal width for tucking into boots come autumn. However, skinny jeans remain a divisive style, so for those looking for something a little more safe, these £32 Light Blue Authentic High Rise City Straight Leg Jeans at Next could be a good middle ground. They come in four lengths and even some ‘in between’ sizes for those who find traditional dress sizes aren’t quite right.
Brown Zebra Mule Heeled Sandals – £39
Zebra is the new leopard print this autumn, and these mule heels feature a wearable 5cm heel, making them practical enough for weddings, brunches or evenings out without sacrificing comfort. They’re also a great way to add interest to an otherwise simple monochrome outfit.
This particular style of shoe is a favourite of Olivia’s. Just this week she went out and purchased a pair of petrol green mirror leather Christian Louboutin mules in the same silhouette. While Olivia’s were some £770, the River Island shoes cost a much more purse-friendly £39 and are arguably a little more versatile, too.
Blue ‘What Now’ Embroidered T-Shirt – £22
Straight in my basket was this blue ‘What Now’ slogan tee, taken from a hilarious clip from reality series Olivia Marries Her Match, which has become something of a signature catchphrase for the former Love Island star. One I quote at least twice a day.
The baby blue embroidered slogan tee feels more premium than a printed design. There’s also a butter yellow version which reads ‘I’m sat’ – another of Olivia’s most-used phrases. These work with a range of outfits and make for a much more interesting alternative to a white tee.
Gold Slim Metal Hexagon Sunglasses – £14
At £14, these gold slim metal hexago n sunglasses are one of the most affordable pieces in the collection. We know Olivia is partial to a designer purchase, and this high-street pair could easily pass as high end, looking similar to designs at Miu Miu.
The specs have a retro feel thanks to their slim gold frame, tortoiseshell arms and tinted lenses, while being functional with full UVA and UVB protection, meaning they’re practical as well as stylish. Not to mention, the price makes them such a steal.
Brown Deer Print Duster Coat – £89
Last but not least, this brown deer print duster coat is arguably the standout item in the edit. It’s perhaps not one for minimalists, mind you. The deer print is emerging as a major trend and offers a softer twist on classic animal prints, while the longline belted silhouette makes it feel timeless enough to wear for years.
Layer it over an all-black outfit, denim and knitwear or even occasionwear for an instantly polished look. At £89 it’s the most expensive item I’ve picked, but it also feels like an outerwear investment that will have you wishing for lower temperatures year after year.
