Katie Price has revealed her plans to bring her eldest son Harvey to Ibiza as she debates allowing him to get a tattoo in latest podcast episode
Katie Price has revealed that she would like to take her eldest son, Harvey to Ibiza as she revealed Wayne Lineker, the owner of O Beach Ibiza, has it all ‘set up’.
The reality TV star, 48, appeared on her new podcast The Katie Price Show with her sister Sophie to take part in a weekly chat. This time the episode was focused on her family life and children, and Katie opened up about her plans with her eldest son Harvey.
“I will take him to Ibiza,” she said. “‘Cause Wayne Lineker and that, they’ve got the set up behind and he keeps saying lately he [Harvey] wants to go to a nightclub. ‘Cause he loves the music.”
“So I will be doing stuff like that with him, ’cause at the end of the day he is 24,” she said. “He’d probably love Ibiza, the music the lights,” said Sophie in response to her sisters suggestion “It’s like sensory for him.”
Harvey is 24 and has been diagnosed as autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic disorder with symptoms including weak muscles and slow development.
Additionally, Harvey has ADHD and oppositional defiant disorder, characterised by a persistent and ongoing pattern of uncooperative, hostile, and defiant behaviour
The conversation began when Katie brought up her recent tattoo of Harvey, and assured listeners: “All five kids will be tattooed on me, it’s not in any particular order.”
She added that Harvey also wants to get a frog tattoo, and spoke to her sister about whether she should let him. “Don’t do that to him Kate,” Sophie quickly replied.
Katie then opened the debate about where to draw the line with where to allow Harvey to make these decisions as he is an adult, but still has the mental age of a child.
“Where do we stand on this? Harvey is 24, he is a man. I know he’s got complex needs” she said to her sister in the show. “Because Harvey knows what a tattoo is, he’s seen them on me and he sees me get it done. Where do we stand on this because if he wants it, why can’t he?
“If you say to him ‘you’re a boy’ he’ll say, ‘no I’m not, I’m a man’,” Katie added.
“Harv’s mental age isn’t 24 is it, it’s a lot younger,” Sophie replied, adding that he can’t make decisions like this for himself.
“This is why it’s a good conversation,” said Katie adding that he can’t sign forms or make other decisions for himself, but can still have various experiences that people his own age can.
