A number of Tom Holland’s old Instagram posts dating back to before he became one of the biggest stars in the world have resurfaced online and they’ve left many fans coming to the same conclusion about the actor. The Spider-Man star has been making waves alongside co-stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and others as the latest instalment in the superhero franchise – Spider-Man: Brand New Day – has hit cinemas around the world, breaking box office records in the process.
Tom, 30, made his first appearance as the beloved web-slinger in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, before becoming the youngest actor to take the title role in an Marvel film with Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017. Famous for his kindness and candour in interviews, on the red carpet and in fan interactions, it seems Tom has always been “a genuinely nice guy”.

The caption accompanying the compilation of posts reads: “Tom Holland’s old Instagram posts have been resurfacing online, with fans finding his early captions hilariously relatable. Long before becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Holland used Instagram like any other teenager, posting random selfies, blurry photos and everyday moments alongside captions that now feel completely different from the carefully curated feeds of modern celebrities.

How did Tom Holland get famous?
The critically-acclaimed actor made his start treading the boards in the West End in London, after his natural affinity for movement, dance and acting was spotted during a performance with his school group at the 2006 Richmond Dance Festival.
Choreographer Lynne Page, an associate to Peter Darling, the choreographer of Billy Elliot the Musical, spotted him and arranged for him to audition for the beloved show. The musical’s director Stephen Daldry thought he “had great potential and was a very natural actor”.
After two years of training in ballet, tap dancing and acrobatics, he bagged the role of Billy’s best friend Michael Caffrey, and made his debut performance at the West End’s Victoria Palace Theatre in June 2008. He was promoted to the role of Billy later in 2008.
In 2012, he played a lead role in the hit film The Impossible, which propelled him into the public eye and allowed him to showcase his acting prowess to a global audience.
