Vicky Pattison has perfected her summer wardrobe once again with a white linen co-ord that’s now on sale at Marks & Spencer and is ‘perfect for everyday wear or dressing up’

One celeb whose wardrobe we’ve been keeping an eye on recently is Vicky Pattison, who has got summer dressing down to a fine art. The presenter has worn a myriad of brilliant pieces this season, from printed linen mini dresses to stylish striped separates, all of which are stylish, comfortable and cool – in every sense of the word.

Her most recent look is no exception, with Vicky spotted wearing a cream linen co-ord to work, and a quick search revealed that not only is it still in stock, but it’s on sale too. The Linen Blend Contrast Piping Waistcoat is now £30 down from £40, whilst the matching Linen Blend Contrast Piping Mini Skirt is now just £22 down from £30, both at Marks & Spencer.

Both pieces in the co-ord are made from 52% linen, which keeps it breathable and cooling in the summer heat. It’s also made from 46% viscose and 2% elastane, which will keep it easier to iron than pure linen, and gives it a small amount of stretch.

They come in an ivory colour with contrasting black trim around the edges and black button details to give it a tailored, elegant look while still being comfortable for summer. The Linen Blend Waistcoat has a longline fit with a regular, relaxed silhouette, and the button fastenings are up the side, rather than the middle for an asymmetrical finish.

The matching Mini Skirt has the same off-centre button detail, with a high waist and A-line shape to make it flattering and comfortable to wear. The beauty of a co-ord like this is that it’s easy and versatile to incorporate into your wardrobe, because you can mix and match it with your other go-to pieces, as well as wearing it together.

The Waistcoat will pair perfectly with jeans, tailored shorts or wide leg trousers, whilst the Mini Skirt can be worn with just about any colour and style of top, whether it’s for work, dinner or on holiday. You can also easily dress the look up with heels and a sleek clutch bag, or play it down with sandals and a straw bag for a more everyday outfit.

If you want something a little more office-appropriate, this Neutral Linen Stripe Waistcoat (now £42 down from £109) and the matching Stripe Trousers (£59 down from £109) from Whistles are great. They come in a cream and beige colourway, and are smart enough for the office while still being wearable for everyday.

Meanwhile Nobody’s Child is embracing the polka dot trend with its White Polka Dot Waistcoat (was £85, now £43) which is made from 55% linen and 45% cotton for a light, breathable feel. You can team it with the matching Cigarette Trousers (was £85 now £43) or the Tailored Shorts (was £59, now £41.30) which both come in the same polka dot print.

However, M&S shoppers have been raving about Vicky’s Linen Blend Co-ord, giving the waistcoat 4.4 stars and the skirt a 4.5 star rating. One wrote: “Beautiful top perfect for everyday wear or dressing up.”

Whilst another said: “Such a beautiful co-ord. Cannot wait to wear it to a fancy event. Elegant, stylish and comfortable. I’ll get a lot of wear out of this. I also got the matching top.”

One did mention about the waistcoat, however: “Armholes too low and show underwear. Very creased. Sending back.”
