Vijayawada: Education Minister N. Lokesh accused YSRC president and former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of making false allegations against athletes selected under the sports quota in Mega DSC-2025 for teacher recruitment.
In a post on X on Monday, Lokesh said, “It’s our delusion to think that Jagan, who stations gurus revered by all, as guards at wine shops, respects teachers. Jagan’s malicious intent came to light only when he made false accusations of ‘sports quota misuse’ against athletes. Sports quota DSC-2025 teachers-victims of Jagan’ fake gang and fake allegations of humiliation-met officials at the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh’s office demanding justice for themselves.”
He further said, “The YSRC faction unleashed an attack at the SAAP’s office on sports quota teachers who hoisted our national flag high through sports and earned teaching jobs through merit. Inciting rowdy shelters, ganja-blade bathes against teachers exposed Jagan’s criminal mindset. Jagan who has no qualms about unleashing criminal gangs with rods and sticks on gurus who should be worshipped, shows his penchant for letting them loose. We will take strict action against those who attacked teachers.The YSRC should stop meddling in government schools and teachers’ duties. We will deal with YSRC-inspired rowdy sheeter and ganja-blade batches firmly.”
Earlier, Lokesh paid respects on the birth anniversary of Gurajada Apparao, whom he described as a Navayuga satirist and great poet who vividly demonstrated that ‘the country is not just the soil, the country is the people.’
