In the Arizona Cardinals‘ 31-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, 23 players participated in at least one of the 70 defensive snaps, and 34 players participated in at least one of the 23 special-teams snaps.
Wide receiver Michael Wilson played one snap on defense at an unknown position, but it was likely defensive back.

Lopez gutted out 50 snaps after being limited in practice two days and not practicing on Thursday. It was necessary with Billings inactive for the second consecutive game, but this time because of a knee injury suffered in practice. Lopez had four tackles (one solo). Stills was productive again with seven tackles (two solo). On the stat sheet, Robinson had his best game since being selected in the first round of the 2024 draft with six tackles (three solo/one for loss).

Nolen assisted on two tackles and had a quarterback hit.
Linebackers

Did not play: ILB Karson Sharar (played only on special teams)
Wilson missed five snaps because of a thumb injury, but was still second on the team with nine tackles (four for loss). Gibbens also had nine tackles (one solo) with a QB hit and pass defensed. Collins had four tackles (two solo/one for loss) and had a forced fumble that he recovered. Burch continues to produce with three tackles (two solo/one for loss). Sweat still appears to be rounding into playing shape and had one solo tackle. Browning had two solos.

Injuries hit again with Melton (toe) missing 49 snaps and Johnson (neck) missing 12. On Seattle’s second offensive play, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was uncovered on the way to an 82-yard touchdown pass. Afterward, JSN said, “Double move — faked the out (route and) the corner (Johnson) bit. I have to watch the film. I don’t know if they were cover four or cover two, but I got a wide-open look and just ran to the end zone.”

Johnson had four tackles (one solo) and a pass defensed, while Melton had three tackles (two solo/one for loss).
Baker led the team with 11 tackles (seven solo/one for loss), a pass defensed, QB hit and 16-yard sack on the final play of the first half. Wingard contributed eight tackles (five solo/one for loss).

Gillikin punted seven times for a pedestrian 41.3-yard average and 37.1 net. However, field position contributed as three of the punts were from the Cardinals 43 and the Seahawks 47 and 49. There were three fair catches inside the 20 and the Cardinals contained Rashid Shaheed, one of the league’s best returners, to 29 yards on three returns with a long of 14. Shaheed also had 47 yards on two kickoff returns.

Duvernay had a 40-yard kickoff return and Brooks had 56 yards on two returns with a long of 31. Brooks, Sharar and Williams had penalties on kick plays.
