JOPLIN, MO — Joplin softball now falls to 8-10 on the season after a close loss at home to Logan-Rogersville, falling 3-2.
The Eagles’ pitching core would do all they could early in the ballgame, with Ella Watts recording seven strikeouts in the pitching circle.

Innings one and two were up and down, with both defenses holding the line despite runners getting on base and even stealing some bags.
Logan-Rogersville would strike first though, scoring three runs in the third inning alone, and holding that line despite a late comeback attempt from Joplin in the sixth and seventh innings.
The Eagles will see Nixa on September 22 in their next matchup, while Logan-Rogersville will go head-to-head against Lebanon on September 23.
