The Amaravati Regional Conference of the 31st CII Partnership Summit will be held in Vijayawada on October 16, ahead of the main summit scheduled in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13.
The regional conference is part of a series of meetings to be held in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Amaravati, Anantapur and Tirupati in line with the economic vision of Viksit Bharat and Swarnandhra @ 2047.
NTR district collector Dr G. Lakshmisha said the success of the Vijayawada conference would depend on the coordination and collective efforts of officials from eight districts.
He participated in a virtual preparatory meeting at the AVS Reddy Hall in the collectorate on Tuesday. Guntur collector C.M. Saikanth Varma, Palnadu collector Dr Kritika Shukla, Markapuram collector M. Vijaya Sunitha, Prakasam collector P. Rajababu, Eluru collector K. Vetriselvi, Bapatla collector Dr V. Vinod Kumar and Krishna collector D.K. Balaji also participated.
Officials discussed arrangements in line with state government guidelines, focusing on investment opportunities, industrial growth, MSME participation, promotion of local industries and strengthening industry-academia linkages.
Dr Lakshmisha said the conference would focus on identifying the industrial strengths of different regions, promoting balanced development, supporting ancillary industries and spreading investments across districts.
He said MSMEs and local industries would be connected with investors and partnerships with educational institutions would be strengthened. Land and policy support would be extended to industries, along with encouragement for advanced technologies, Industry 4.0, deep tech and start-ups.
The collector said the conference would provide opportunities for investments and partnerships ahead of the main summit. He urged entrepreneurs to participate and said the event would facilitate MoUs and industrial collaborations.
