CBFC Clears Sidharth Malhotra Tamannaah Bhatias The Vvaan With No Cuts Grants U/A Certificate

Nearly every film makes its way through the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with at least minor cuts or modifications. But Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer The Vvaan has been passed by the Examining Committee of the CBFC with zero cuts or modifications, whether in audio or video.

The Vvaan brings together TVF’s Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra and Ektaa Kapoor for a commercial film that attempts to take Indian folklore into a new cinematic space. While its world is rooted in folklore and fantasy, the film brings together adventure, mystery and humour to shape itself as a complete family entertainer. The recently released trailer features a blend of mystery, action, adventure, romance, and humour combined with rich Indian folklore around a forest where one strict rule needs to be abided by.

Just a few months back, the official comic book titled The Legend of Vvaan was also released as a special-edition graphic novel. This further expands on the fantasy tale, acting as the prequel to the story in The Vvaan. This was created by Alok Sharma and Saumin Patel, who directly sourced story elements from the film creators themselves.

Presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with TVF and 11.11 Production, The Vvaan stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia. Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, with Manu Anand as DOP and Visual Director, the film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari.
