Mark Pope and the Kentucky men’s basketball staff visited Ryan Hampton over the weekend, and following the trip, Hampton’s family added a couple of visits to Lexington in the near future.
Hampton’s father, Rod, told KSR that they plan to have two visits in October, with one being for Big Blue Madness on October 2 and another one the following week for the LSU football game on October 10.

Earlier on Friday, we learned that the top-25 commit will be hosting a youth camp in Lexington on October 10, the same day as the LSU football game.
This camp will run from 9 to 11:30 A.M. for boys and girls in first through eighth grade and will be hosted at the Lexington Ice Center & Sports Complex (560 Eureka Springs Drive).
Each camper will get a souvenir autograph from Ryan Hampton (item provided —outside items not permitted), a camp group photo with Ryan Hampton, and a limited-edition Ryan Hampton Basketball ProCamp T-shirt.
Hampton’s father told KSR, “It’s going to be fun. He’s been coached hard his whole life, so I think this is going to be a camp where he is around kids, and he’s going to make it really fun for them, but he’s going to teach them the fundamentals of the game. It’s going to be a lot of instruction and a lot of good teaching, but I think this is just going to be fun for everyone involved.”
We won’t get to see Hampton in the Kentucky blue and white until 2027-28, but he is already giving back to the Lexington community by offering a free basketball camp for youth in Kentucky!
