Alanna Panday took to her social media handles on September 28, 2026, and shared the gender of her baby. The gorgeousness is expecting her second child with her husband, Ivor McCray. While the official gender reveal video was shared on Instagram at night, Alanna took to her Facebook page and shared a video of her and Ivor telling their family the gender privately first.
The clip began with Alanna Panday’s cousin and Bollywood’s ‘Bae’, Ananya Panday. The actress wore an oversized T-shirt and held a cupcake as Alanna and Ivor McCray asked her what she thought the baby would be. Ananya, without missing a beat, said, “It’s a boy.” The actress then looked at the cupcake and said, “It’s a boy, but if it’s a girl, I’ll have, like, a mental breakdown.” She then asked the couple if she could dig into the cupcake, which revealed it was a girl.
Ananya Panday could not contain her happiness and hugged Alanna Panday, saying, “Thank God, oh my God. Thank. God.” However, what left netizens laughing was the clip that followed. The clip then cut to Ahaan Panday, dressed in a white T-shirt. Alanna was not part of the video this time. Instead, we saw Ivor ask Ahaan what he thinks the baby’s gender is. The actor replied, “I know what it’s gonna be; it’s a girl.”
Ivor went on to ask how Ahaan knew that he and Alanna Panday were having a girl, to which he said, “Alanna told me. Unfortunately.” Ivor went on to clarify that his wife had accidentally “blurted it out. So we are not doing a gender reveal with Ahaan.” However, in a humorous moment, Ivor then added, “Next time”, which made Ahaan laugh as well. Alanna shared the video on her Facebook account and captioned it:
“You blurted out the gender to your brother by mistake, so he didn’t get a cupcake.”

After she shared the video on Facebook, Alanna Panday took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures and videos from an intimate celebration surrounded by family and friends. In the pictures, she can be seen flaunting her baby bump while posing with Ivor and their son. Sharing the announcement on Instagram, Alanna kept her caption simple and emotional as she penned:
“Can’t wait to meet you.”
The celebration followed a soft yellow-and-white theme, with floral arrangements, lemons, cupcakes and a cake shaped like a honeybee’s hive. Alanna was seen wearing a pale yellow outfit as she posed with Ivor and their son. The video showed Ivor and Alanna getting emotional as they found out the gender of their second child.
Alanna Panday’s mother, Deanne Panday, was among the first to react to the announcement and expressed her excitement over becoming a grandmother again. She penned, “My baby girl is having a baby girl…congratulations.” Bipasha Basu also took to the comments section and penned, “Best news ever.” As we mentioned, Alanna and Ivor are already parents to a baby boy and have frequently shared glimpses of their family life on social media.
