November 16, 2000, remains a deeply significant date in N T Rama Rao Jr’s life as it marked the opening of his debut film, Ninnu Choodalani.
Recalling the day at the pre-release event of Don’t Trouble The Trouble, NTR spoke about how difficult it was to experience such an important milestone without his parents by his side.
“My mother could not come for the opening of Ninnu Choodalani because she generally did not step out in public. My father also didn’t come. He wanted me to learn to stand on my own feet and face the challenges of the industry by myself,” NTR said.
For the young actor, however, the experience was emotionally challenging. He recalled going to the film’s opening alone and feeling lonely and sad. Although it marked the beginning of his journey as an actor, he did not have his parents physically present to share the moment with him.
Over time, NTR said, the love and support he received from fans and the film fraternity helped fill that emotional void. Their affection and encouragement gave him the confidence and strength to continue his journey.
NTR also expressed gratitude for the people who became an important part of his life, saying that, apart from his fans, he feels blessed by God to have the family of S S Rajamouli and M M Keeravaani.
Looking back, what was once a lonely and emotional day became an important lesson for NTR — one that taught him to stand on his own feet and face the challenges of the film industry.
