American Idol has built many dreams over the years and launched careers of stars including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson. However, several contestants have been dealt a tragic hand.
This week, Caleb Flynn has been found guilty of murdering his wife, fatally shooting wife Ashley Flynn twice in the back of the head while she slept at their Ohio home. He had tried to blame intruders in his home for the February 16 tragedy.
But now, a jury delivered its verdict after deliberating for less than three hours, leaving the 40-year-old former music pastor sobbing in the stands.
Flynn had claimed he found his 37-year-old wife dead in the bedroom, after seeing that the garage side door was open. Following the jury’s decision, Flynn is due to be sentenced on October 5.
