Amitabh Bachchan recently suffered a minor knee injury while shooting for Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. The veteran actor revealed the incident during Wednesday’s episode of the popular quiz show, explaining why he was seated while delivering his usually standing opening monologue.
Known for beginning each episode from the centre of the KBC stage, Amitabh was seen seated during the latest episode. Addressing the change in his routine, the actor revealed that he had slipped and fallen during the previous day’s shoot, injuring his left knee.
“Usually, I do my monologue standing at the centre, but today, I have a knee injury. Yesterday, during the shoot, I slipped and fell and injured my knee,” Amitabh said.
However, Amitabh was quick to reassure the audience and viewers that there was no reason to worry. Calling it a minor injury, he added, “It is a minor injury and nothing to worry about. The work will continue as scheduled.”
Despite the injury, the actor clarified that he would continue interacting with the contestants during the gameplay segments and planned to stand up whenever required, taking brief rests between takes.Amitabh also indicated that his treatment was being managed on set and that the injury would not affect his professional commitments. The actor continues to host Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 while recovering from the minor injury.
