NELLORE: Ministers B.C. Janardhan Reddy and Ramprasad Reddy on Saturday alleged that YSRC leaders Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Peddireddy Venkata Mithun Reddy were behind the recent violence in Punganur.

Addressing a media conference at the Telugu Desam office in Punganur, Janardhan Reddy questioned Mithun Reddy’s alleged role in the violence and asked how many people he intended to get killed through the incidents.

The minister alleged that the YSRC leaders had no moral right to speak about democracy, claiming that democratic values had been undermined during the previous YSRC government.

He recalled the arrest of TD chief and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the alleged obstruction of Nara Lokesh’s padayatra, questioning why YSRC leaders had not raised concerns about democratic values at the time.

Janardhan Reddy said the difficulties faced by people during the previous YSRC regime had contributed to the anger being witnessed now. He asserted that candidates of the NDA alliance would win the upcoming local body elections despite what he described as alleged conspiracies by YSRC leaders.
