Former I’m A Celebrity star and Paralympian Kadeena Cox OBE has taken to social media to reveal she was rushed to the hospital as she shared a picture taken in the Accident & Emergency department.
I’m A Celeb’s Kadeena Cox OBE has been rushed to the hospital. The gold-medal Paralympian shared a snap of herself in the Accident & Emergency department at her local hospital.
Kadeena, who appeared on I’m A Celeb in 2021, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014, aged just 23, having previously suffered from a stroke. Taking to Instagram, in view of her 186,000 followers, the 35-year-old shared a selfie alongside the caption: “Sat in A&E… Have a feeling this is gonna be a long a*s day, and I didn’t pick up my headphones.”
Hours later, Kadeena returned to her Instagram Stories, sharing a video showing her inflamed stomach. She said: “Seeing as the A&E doctor’s advice was purely to take paracetamol, I’m going with mummy’s advice.

“I don’t know if you can see it, I’ve got castor oil in my belly button. I do normally have a heat pad, but I don’t have it while I’m away. So we’re just chilling with castor oil on my belly and rubbed some into the area that’s been painful, and I’ve just got it chilling in my belly button. We all gotta hope for the best, guys.”
Captioning her post, Kadeena penned: “You have w pretty large fibroids in there for someone who asked. Waiting to see my gynae as they aren’t new unlike the pain which only started a week or so ago.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, Kadeena was one of the campmates who swapped the Australian jungle for Gwrych Castle in North Wales.
However, during her time in the castle, which saw the contestants battle storms rather than the blistering Aussie heat, things became so bad for Kadeena that she needed help getting to the toilet and struggled with fatigue.
She said: “I thought my MS would be nice to me. Turns out MS is never nice to you, so I really struggled with the fatigue and my spasms were being quite a problem, and there was points where my speech was really slurred and everyone was really worried about me.”
Kadeena added: “There was times when literally the campmates had to help me get into bed, they had to help me get to the toilet, and it was a real struggle.” Kadeena also faced setbacks while filming The Celebrity Apprentice in Lapland, but thanks to the assistance from the team, she was able to return with a walking stick specially designed for the snow.
Speaking about her experience on the programme, the Paralympian said: “It was absolutely freezing in Lapland, and they said it wasn’t that cold. They were like, it’s like warm for them, normally in the snow, it’s colder.
“I’m a part-time wheelchair user, and I learned very quickly that my chair and snow don’t go well together. That wasn’t an ideal situation. Otherwise, just the time limits, you don’t realise how quickly time goes.”
Reflecting on using a wheelchair during filming, Kadeena added: “Everyone was amazing, but Rob [Rinder], bless him! This is one of the moments where I’ll actually say Rob Rinder is a great friend and advocate. He was just like, ‘Kadeena need help with this’, because he saw me struggling.
“The cold and my MS don’t go together very well. So I was really struggling to walk. My spasms have got quite bad.”
