The controversy surrounding the teaser of Prabhas-starrer Fauzi appears to be far from over. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandnephew, Chandra Kumar Bose, has demanded an apology from the makers of the film for allegedly distorting historical facts in a scene depicting Netaji’s meeting with Adolf Hitler. He argued that the scene, which reportedly shows Netaji introducing Prabhas’ fictional spy character to Hitler, misrepresents Netaji’s stature and portrays him as a subordinate rather than an equal.
The teaser of Fauzi ought to be pulled down, corrected and released again. Should our concern regarding Netaji be resolved (for the teaser as well as for the Movie), my best wishes go out for #Prabhas and the entire team @FauziTheMovie . Hope @hanurpudi realises the seriousness @narendramodi @AshwiniVaishnaw @SuparnoSatpathy

Chandra Kumar Bose Demands Withdrawal of Fauzi Teaser
After seeking an explanation from the makers, Chandra Kumar Bose has now written to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding action against the team behind the upcoming film Fauzi. In the letter, written on behalf of The Open Platform for Netaji, Bose has called for the teaser to be withdrawn and action to be initiated against the officials responsible for clearing it. He also shared a photograph of the letter on X, tagging the Prime Minister’s Office.

Bose Calls for a Serious Investigation
Bose argued that distorting facts and resorting to fiction while depicting national icons is unacceptable. He expressed strong objections to what he described as the trivialisation of Netaji and questioned how the CBFC had cleared the content. He appealed to Ashwini Vaishnaw to order a thorough investigation into the matter.
“It shall be the right service to the nation if you make sure that this teaser is pulled down and the responsible ones at the Censor Board are punished in an exemplary manner,” Bose wrote.
His central demand is that the Fauzi teaser be withdrawn, corrected and released again. “Should our concern regarding Netaji be resolved (for the teaser as well as for the Movie), my best wishes go out for #Prabhas and the entire team,” Bose added.
The makers of Fauzi have not yet responded to Bose’s objections.
