Actor Venkatesh Daggubati believes that goodwill, rather than success, lies at the heart of his life. Speaking at the pre-release event of Aadarsha Kutumbam on Tuesday, he described a simple daily ritual: every morning, he meditates for everyone’s well-being. He wishes for “everyone to be happy and peaceful”. That, he said, is his primary purpose in life. “Everything else will come and go,” said the senior actor, whose 2025 release Sankranthiki Vasthunam became a Rs 300-crore blockbuster.
Detachment Makes Him a Winner
Director Trivikram attributed Venkatesh’s magnetic charm to the same outlook. In his view, it stems from “detachment and positivity”. Quoting the Bhagavad Gita verse “Karmanye vaadhikaaraste”, Trivikram said the actor puts its philosophy into practice by focusing on his work rather than its rewards.
This is not a new direction for Venkatesh. Spirituality has long been an undercurrent in his screen persona. He has often spoken about inner stillness and the pursuit of peace over applause. He has also spoken about Ramana Maharshi, the sage of Arunachala, whose path of self-inquiry centres on one fundamental question: “Who am I?” Those close to Venkatesh describe him as an unhurried man who remains unshaken by the ups and downs of fame. As he has suggested, professional highs and lows do little to disturb his equilibrium.
The Family Man’s Superstardom
Trivikram also had warm words for the actor’s screen journey. He said Aadarsha Kutumbam could not have found a better actor than Venkatesh. “Few stars have risen to superstardom through family entertainers alone, and Venkatesh is one of them,” added the director, who is known for making films centred on leading stars.
Blockbusters such as Kalisundam Raa and Raja thrived on the strength of heartfelt stories, drawing entire families to theatres. For Venkatesh, Trivikram explained, the family audience is “his mass”. Aadarsha Kutumbam is scheduled to release in theatres this Friday, October 30.
