Savannah Chrisley's Fiance, Jason Galanis' Brother Issues Warning To Her 'She's His Biggest Con Yet'

Savannah Chrisley’s engagement and pregnancy announcement has gained a lot more attention for being more than just happy news. Her fans were shocked to find out that her fiancé is Jason Galanis, who was convicted in high-profile cases related to multi-million-dollar frauds. Amid his lengthy criminal history, his estranged brother, Derek Galanis, has now publicly warned the reality star about the future of their bond.

Jason Galanis’ brother calls Savannah, Jason’s ‘Biggest Con Yet’

Jason Galanis’ brother, Derek Galanis, sat down for an interview with Page Six after the news of the former’s engagement went viral. In turn, he called Savannah his “biggest con yet” and claimed that she was “in for a rocky ride.” He also alleged that Jason hasn’t changed despite his time in prison.

Derek was also convicted in a fraud case connected to his brother and father, John Galanis. He mentioned that he last spoke to Jason in 2016 while they were both incarcerated. In his words:

“It’s his biggest con yet. This girl’s in for a rocky ride. He’s not a changed man; he’s the same dude he always was. My brother is one year younger than her father. They were in prison together, right? Both my brother and her father were pardoned by Trump. This is a continuation. It’s wild.”

Derek’s comments came after Savannah announced that she was expecting her first child with Jason. The two men had reportedly served time in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. Derek also mentioned that he thought his brother had not changed because Jason never thanked him for speaking publicly about the Galanis’ Family Connection to Hunter Biden.

Jason had earlier worked with Hunter at Burnham Financial Group between 2012 and 2015. But these allegations made by Derek are his personal views. Until now, neither Savannah nor Jason has publicly responded to these comments.

For those who don’t know, Jason, 56, was sent to federal prison for 189 months in September 2020. It was due to his role in multiple securities fraud schemes. According to the federal court documents, he planned a scheme involving nearly USD 60 million in fraudulent municipal bonds.

The bonds were reportedly sold to the Wakpamni Lake Community of the Oglala Sioux Tribe via a subsidiary of their firm, Burnham Financial Group. Jason was a part of many other Financial schemes. Later, he got a sentence commutation from President Donald Trump in 2025.

Meanwhile, their father, John Galanis, also had a criminal history including financial fraud. According to the court filings, Jason claimed his father was one of America’s most notorious white-collar criminals. He also alleged that his father’s schemes included defrauding Chase Bank of millions of dollars and cheating investors of USD 75 million in another case.
