If you thought seeing ghosts was bad, Joe Fagnano was experiencing night terrors on “Thursday Night Football.”

The undrafted rookie was thrust into action after the Ravens lost backup Tyler Huntley and starter Lamar Jackson to injuries in Week 8.

With no healthy quarterbacks on the roster, the Ravens were forced to throw Fagnano out there with no experience, and the results were what everyone expected in the 33-10 dismantling by the Ravens.

Fagnano threw for 60 yards and two interceptions in the loss, completing just 10 of 18 passes.

“I’m not here to make excuses. We just didn’t execute. I have to play better,” the 25-year-old undrafted rookie out of the University of Maine said after the game.

Head Coach Jesse Minter wasn’t pointing the finger at any of the injuries after the blowout loss.

“Obviously, [it’s] a tough situation for our guys, but I just told them there’s no excuses, there’s no whatever, ‘We don’t have this guy; we don’t have that guy,’” Ravens first-year coach Jesse Minter said. “The results are not acceptable for us and what we’re after.”

The game was really set-match when Fagnano threw an interception to open up the second half after the Jaguars scored a touchdown to take the lead in the first half.

The interception on the third play of the second half was the backbreaker as the team’s second-half drives were nightmare fuel for head coaches.

The Ravens’ second-half drives went: Interception, punt, punt, turnover on downs, interception, fumble, and a meaningless touchdown to end it.

At one point, the Ravens had an interception and a fumble on consecutive plays in the fourth quarter of what looked like a preseason game for Baltimore, as they ran only three plays in the fourth quarter.

Baltimore hopes to right the ship next as they face the winless Chargers in Week 10 on “Monday Night Football,” where they should be able to play better football after trading for Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
