“Who Dey olé!”
That is the phrase fans of the Cincinnati Bengals who have arrived in Madrid, Spain are seeing as they tour the region waiting on Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. The overseas gridiron match will be televised in southwest Ohio at 9:30 a.m. Eastern.

It is the first time the Bengals have played in Spain as the NFL aims to expand its fanbase internationally.
To get the party started, there are gatherings at various locations in Madrid, including one dubbed “Who Dey Headquarters” (Ocean Rock Bar) that is hosting a fan meetup from 7-10 p.m. Saturday.
“Ocean Rock Bar will also host a watch party for the game, starting a 1:30 p.m. local time on Sunday,” states the Bengals website.
On Friday and Saturday there are interactive football activities, appearances by cheerleaders and by NFL legends at NFL Experience Madrid at Plaza de España.

The Bengals have published a map of events online to help locals in Madrid find their way to the fun.
Beavercreek business owner and Butler County resident Thomas Ellison said he and his wife, Brianne, arrived Monday. The toughest part has been the language barrier, he said.
“People speak some English, but it is rough,” Ellison said. “You are looking for safe havens of conversation. On Monday we befriended a man from Scotland. English is still rough, but it was a friendly language,” he said. “You don’t know who speaks English until you hear them.”
Ellison said the atmosphere is fun and “what is so cool about being here with Bengals is they ‘wear’ their language. So it’s a brother in both language and the team we are rooting for.”

There is no official count of how many Cincinnati Bengals fans traveled from the Unites States to Spain for the game, but in 2025 the NFL game there attracted more than 78,000 fans, and approximately 42,000 were from outside of Spain. In that game, the Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Commanders 16-13 in overtime.
According to the Cincinnati Bengals, the team had 201 people form its organization aboard a chartered flight to Madrid earlier this week.
The game will be played in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, a famed soccer stadium in Madrid with a retractable roof. The weather in Madrid is similar right now to that in southwest Ohio. On Sunday, the high temperature in Madrid is predicted at 60 degrees.
