The AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) allotted 77 returnable plots to 20 farmers from Nidamarru village through an e-lottery on Saturday as part of the Amaravati capital development programme. The allotment comprised 52 residential and 25 commercial plots.
The e-lottery was conducted at the APCRDA office in Rayapudi in the presence of the beneficiaries. Officials first conducted a trial run using an online random selection system before proceeding with the allotment to ensure transparency.
APCRDA Additional Commissioner Kollabattula Karthik and Director (Lands-Capital City) K.S. Bhagya Rekha handed over provisional allotment certificates to the farmers.
The beneficiaries had recently contributed their land for the construction of the capital city. Karthik urged them to complete the registration of their allotted plots at the earliest. He said GIS personnel and village surveyors would assist them in identifying the exact locations of the plots.
Meanwhile, a farmer’s family from Vaddamanu village has voluntarily agreed to participate in the second phase of land pooling for Amaravati’s development. Nutakki Sriravamma, wife of Srinivasa Rao and a resident of Mandadam village, submitted consent documents to competent authority K. Vijayalakshmi on Saturday, agreeing to pool two acres of family-owned land in Vaddamanu village.
Retired Special Deputy Collector S. Raghavendra and retired Tahsildar Ravikumar attended the programme.
Sriravamma expressed happiness over becoming a partner in Amaravati’s development and appealed to other farmers to cooperate with APCRDA officials in the second phase of the land-pooling exercise.
Special deputy collector G. Bhadru, Guntur LPS coordination deputy collector V. David Raju and personnel from the lands, IT, planning, GIS and communications departments attended the plot allotment programme.
