Nizamabad: District collector Ila Tripathi has directed officials to organise the ‘Maa Indiramma Intlo Diwali’ programme on a grand scale in houses completed under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. The programme aims to help beneficiaries celebrate their first Diwali in their own homes.
At a meeting with officials at the Integrated District Offices Complex on Saturday, she reviewed the arrangements and instructed them to organise special celebrations by lighting lamps with beneficiary families in their newly constructed houses.
She asked officials to ensure a festive atmosphere and complete all arrangements well in advance through coordination among departments. Beneficiaries, public representatives and government officials should actively participate in the celebrations, she said.
Tripathi said the programme should reflect the government’s commitment to fulfilling the dream of home ownership for economically weaker families through the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
Additional collector V. Bhujanga Rao, in-charge housing project director B. Geetha, ZP CEO G. Saya Goud, DRDO Sayanna, MSOs and other officials attended the meeting.
