"21 hours in line for the iPhone 16: A true testament to Apple fandom!"
A significant crowd gathered outside Apple stores in Mumbai and Delhi as the highly anticipated iPhone 16 series officially went on sale on Friday. The excitement was palpable, with videos circulating on social media showing eager customers sprinting towards the stores to secure their new devices. Long lines were particularly notable at Mumbai’s BKC, India’s first Apple store, where many waited hours to purchase the latest models.
One customer, Ujjwal Shah, shared his experience of standing in line for 21 hours, stating, “I have been here since 11 am yesterday and will be the first one to enter the store today at 8 am.” He expressed his enthusiasm for the atmosphere surrounding the launch, noting that he had previously waited 17 hours for last year’s model. Another buyer, Akshay, traveled from Surat and arrived at 6 am to buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 series includes four models: the standard iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The Pro models feature a stunning array of colors—Dark Black Titanium, Bright White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium—and promise exceptional battery life due to optimized power management and larger batteries.
Camera capabilities are a highlight of the new series. The iPhone 16 Pro boasts a 48MP Fusion camera with a second-generation quad-pixel sensor that eliminates shutter lag, along with a new 48MP ultra-wide camera and a 5x telephoto lens. These advancements enhance photography options significantly. Users can also enjoy real-time adjustments with new photographic styles and capture cinematic-quality video in 4K120 fps with Dolby Vision support. Enhanced spatial audio capture further enriches the viewing experience when paired with AirPods or Apple Vision Pro.
Overall, the launch of the iPhone 16 series has generated considerable buzz among consumers in India, reflecting Apple’s continued appeal in the smartphone market.
