A refresh look at the Petoskey-area athletes competing at track state finals

Track regionals, when area athletes had the chance to qualify for their respective state championship event, took place less than two weeks ago.

That might not feel all that long ago, but in the days since we’ve had soccer, baseball and softball districts start up, tennis regionals and state championships, golf regionals and more.

Maybe a refresher on who will be competing on the state’s biggest stage this Saturday, May 30 would be good.

Harbor Springs Girls Relays: Harbor Springs relays show off in regionals, sprint group breaks school record

Athletes from around Emmet and Charlevoix Counties qualified for the finals in Division 2, 3 and 4. Division 2 will take place at Hamilton High School, Division 3 in Kent City and the Division 4 event will take place at Baldwin Middle School in Hudsonville.

Like most years, those that qualified are getting the royal treatment before heading off, which included a sendoff parade for Harbor Springs athletes at Shay Elementary in Harbor Springs.
